recorded his second 4 assist game of the year in Chaug’s 5-5 tie with E Longmeadow. He finished the week with 1 goal and 5 assists, leading his team to a 1-0-1 record.

FAY DIVISION

Chris Dedinas, Greenfield,

leads the Fay Division in scoring with 5 goals and 9 assists this year. He scored the eventual game tying goal in Greenfield’s 2-2 tie with Amherst this week.

WRIGHT DIVISION

Trey Trenblay, St Mary’s,

had a hand in 5 of St Mary’s 6 goals this week with 2 goals and 3 assists. He leads his team in scoring this year. St Mary’s has not lost a game by more than 3 goals.

HENNESSEY DIVISION

Chris Bolotin, Taconic

has allowed more than 1 goal only once this year, leading his team to a 3-1-0 record. This week he stopped 29 of 30 shots faced in his team’s

3-1 win over St Mary’s.

Text Box: Attention Western Mass High School Hockey Fans, Please accept my sincerest and humblest apologies regarding the website. In November, due to the recessionary economy, I decided to look for part-time employment to supplement my consulting business. I knew that a part-time position would still allow me continue Caddie Consulting, coach Greenfield High School, and maintain the Western Mass High School Hockey website. This was simply the best case scenario for me as it allowed me to continue to do what I love to do. However, during the process of looking for part-time work and right before hockey season, I was offered a full-time position that was simply too good not to accept. In addition, I decided it was best to continue to work for my consulting clients at least through the early part of 2009 to get them through the end of the year. The result was an increase of over 50 hours a week to my consulting business’ hours. For your information, I am still currently working for all of my consulting clients as I enjoy full-time employment. The first casualty to my hockey season was as Assistant Coach to Greenfield High School. Even though I have been opening the door at Greenfield’s games this year, I officially resigned my position as Assistant Coach and have made very few practices and other team events. Unfortunately, their practice schedule and my schedule are no longer compatible. In addition, I no longer complete game programs or maintain the team’s game statistics. I truly miss the time spent with the team as a full-time member of the coaching staff. I also feel my contributions this year to the team have been hindered by my lack of availability. The second casualty was the website. I had every intention to maintain the website this year, but unexpected work related travel and time constraints hindered my chances. I have been working over 80 hours per week as an employee and a consultant. In addition, prior to this year, I used to receive emails reporting scores and stats right after they were called in to local newspapers. That option was no longer available and this was the worst year to lose that support. The reason I have not shared this information sooner is because I wanted to catch up on the website. I am an individual who does not like to make excuses, but I now realize that updating and maintaining the website will not be possible this year. I hope to be able to bring it back next year, but I may need some help from the many fans and coaches in Western Mass. Finally, I have tried to keep my hand on the pulse of Western Mass Hockey in other ways. I have joined the Bessone Committee this year and am currently working with other members of the committee to improve the awards and scholarships offered and recognize individuals at all high school hockey levels in Western Mass.
